Lazy Sunday

After I wrote that title I automatically thought of “Lazy Sunday” by Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell. — “The Chronic – what?! – cles of Narnia!!”

Today has been decent. I’m back in Boston after a lovely trip home to NH, and I miss home already — don’t get me wrong I love Boston, but it has definitely made me appreciate New Hampshire.

Today, I did not take that many pictures of my food. It’s been busy packing and saying goodbyes and all that jazz. I went out to lunch with my dad, my brother and my dad’s wife for a little early birthday celebration. My birthday is not until Wednesday but considering that this week is going to be ridiculous….it was probably the only chance I’ll get to celebrate my birthday. We went to Not Your Average Joe’s in Methuen, MA, andΒ  I got the roasted haddock with lentils. It was really good and light. πŸ™‚

After that my dad brought my brother and me back into Boston, where my dad and his wife “made” me open the birthday present they had gotten me……

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited!!!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ It’s beauitful! haha

My dad’s card almost made me cry — aka…I would have cried if no one had been around.

I am also happy to report that about half of my cookbook collection is now in my apartment…but only half of it. haha

Dinner got started late because I napped this afternoon — much needed. I had very little in the house so stovetop popcorn and a baked sweet potato with hot sauce are on the menu. I might make myself some corn later if I’m still up….and I see a spoonful or two or PB in my future. haha

I’m currently noshing on the sweet potato and contemplating the week ahead of me. I JUST…as in I just got a Facebook message… found out that a group member of mine officially has swine flu — meaning that she will probably not contribute any more to the project and won’t be presenting with us….oy. Obviously, I feel horrible that she is ill; it just presents unforeseen speed bumps. It will work out. That will be my mantra of the week. IT WILL WORK OUT!

Alright, time to clear my head. Maybe some yoga is in my future. πŸ™‚

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Peace, Love & Munchies.

  1. Good luck with your group project! I’m also swamped… writing pages and pages every day for my paper 😦

And that is a NICE gift!!!! Can’t wait to see all the cool stuff you’ll do with it:D

    • Aw thank you! And I hear you, good luck with all of your work!! and seriously, I was not expecting a food processor…but man, am I excited!!! I think the first thing I’m going to do (when I finally have time) is make my own hummus. πŸ™‚

  2. Oh wow…that is a beautiful birthday gift ;);) So glad you enjoyed yourself! ❀ all of your cook books.

Many people are coming down with swine flu here. Last month it was bad. We thought we were going to have to close down my entire office :S:S Soooo…good luck with that lol.

    • Oh no! Yeah swine flu is pretty bad down here, too — although that is the first person I’ve personally known to have it. I’m hoping for all of my green drinks to have boooosted my immune system! haha and seriously, I am so thankful for the food processor…I’m going to have to make those chocolate “brownie” balls recipe that you posted a while back…with the dates? Eee I’m excited!!
