Now that's an alarm…

Evening beauties! And wow…it is evening. Almost 9pm. A late post for me!!

Today has been…eventful. First…set my alarm for 8…it’s technically my day off so I consider that getting up early. Literally 5 minutes before 8….MY FIRE ALARM GOES OFF!! For noooo reason!!! Scared the living begeezus out of me… I now know that if there ever was a real fire — in the middle of the night — I would be a mess. I was up…blind because in my scared sh*tless state I just jumped up and forget to put my glasses on…hands shaking…what to do, what to do?! haha

I was a mess.

That all happened in about 30 seconds…cuz that’s how long the alarm went off for..and then it stopped. Random.

Anyway — after that , I tried to lay down just to calm myself…didn’t work so I figured what the heck…I’m already wiiide awake – might as well add some delicious caffeine to that. Hazelnut latte it was — and granted I know it’s caffeine, but the warm drink did help settle me down.

I had…errr, make that HAVE…tons of work today — combination of a short week, a missed day and general procrastination. Totes my fault…I’ll admit it. I spent my day off — on campus. ALL day. I worked on a paper, reading, French and my design project (again whyyyy do I need to know this?)….oh I also got my grub on.

Twas delish.

Got home…broke out a little Cranberry fruit “leather” — except it was anything but leathery and delish! It was chewy and soft, and not expected but it was nice! The flavor was great, too.

Dinner was purchased — sushhhhi! πŸ˜€ Whole Foods sushi at that. Happy belly.

Oh — don’t mind the messy plate…I ate the first four…and then realized I needed a pic. πŸ™‚

Today was glorious though — because it was grocery shoppppin! Woo. I love it, and it was desperately needed.

To preface, no — I did not do my grocery shopping at WF…only the fruit leather and sushi got picked up there. haha

Came away with a bunch of goodies:

WW tortillas, cheese sticks, shredded cheese, BBQ sauce, apples, bananas, frozen: corn, peas & spinach, seltzer water

The filled up both my fridge and my freezer nicely:

Whew…so I’m good and stocked up for a while! haha

I hope you all are doing well!! I’ve been lost in homework all night — I couldn’t believe when I looked at the clock and it was almost 9pm and I hadn’t posted anything!! haha

Almost the weekend…yayyy!!

  • How do you cope with stress?

I’ll admit…I do not always cope well — but I’ve definitely been doing better. If it’s really bad… power naps orΒ  hot, hot showers always help.

  1. I love how us foodies have the SAME things in our fridge haha. I have the LC and chobani and low carb wraps, string cheese, hummus and syrup and lots of veggies too!! its too funny.

    that sushi looks great! I havent had sushi in so long!! yummmerrrss

    how do I deal with stress? I try to not thinka bout all of the things I have to do at once. I try to get one thing done, then forget about it, then complete the next task and forget about it, that way I am not thinking about 10 things at once!

    also a good workout or bubble bath helps πŸ˜‰

  2. Ugh I hate fire alarms!!!

    I deal with stress by making to-do lists. And writing down all that i need to do. Looking at it over and over again helps me destress! And of course, yoga is good too πŸ™‚
